Rob points out that technology should not be treated as a slave or thought of as a tool. By thinking this way, they miss out on the future potential of technology and will ultimately not be able to take full advantage of the technology's value. Technology is already advanced enough to think for itself to some extent, but personalization allows technology to adjust itself to how it interprets the person. This relationship between us and technology is more obvious than ever, and if we treat it in the wrong way, we won't maximize its value.

He served as Global Lead for Strategy & Innovation at Presence of IT before Deloitte acquired it, and spent four years on the HR Technology Advisory Board of the Australian HR Institute (AHRI).
