Superpower

I’ve always felt that whatever I’ve done in both my profession and sporting career I’ve always been able to gain a high level of respect from those around me. People around me say my superpower is that I’m easy to deal with, keeping calm and level-headed through different situations. 

I enjoy learning about the people around me either workmates or customers.  

About

I was born in Perth, WA, Australia. Through both personal and career opportunities I spent some time living on the East Coast of Australia but otherwise, I’m lucky enough to say Perth is my home and feel blessed to be able to live in a beautiful part of Australia. 

A lover of sports but particularly cricket, which I played for many years, and AFL.  Many of my best friends I have today have all come from participating in team sports. 

Married with two children and now a grandson my family is the most important thing in the world to me.  

My career in IT started back in the 90s and I have held a variety of roles since then.  

I love what I do, and nothing gives me greater joy than to contribute to and watch people develop into their careers and flourish. 

Professional details

Starting as a mainframe computer operator I was lucky enough to join a large bureau payroll processing company as a part of their IT operations team and this is where my career in HCM and WFM took off. Moving from operations to customer facing started my consulting career. I have been in customer facing roles ever since.  

Through UKG (formally Kronos) acquisition of Australian WFM companies, I joined UKG back in 2001 as an Implementation Consultant but to grow my career with UKG we moved to Melbourne. My professional career move quickly with UKG having performed many roles from Project Management to Managing Consultant to Client Delivery Manager. 

With a family decision to move back to Perth, I continued my career in the Project/Client Management space and spent five years at Allocate Software as Services Manager before luckily enough joining Jarrod at Smart WFM in 2020, just before the world pandemic. 

As Delivery Director at Smart WFM it’s allowed me to be me and allowed me to grow in the areas I’m passionate about around people, customers, and client delivery in industries such as retail, health, service, manufacturing, and hospitality.
